SNAP appears to be an example of Weaponized Compassion. This is a purposefully set up situation that uses our natural feelings of compassion against us in ways that actually hurt everyone.
It’s pulling at the heartstrings to get people to sacrifice something in a pre-determined and proscribed way. This is an old technique that is used to steer a society in ways the so-called elites desire.
