If you’re like us, you love good music. It is for precisely that reason that The Roots Historical Arts Council puts on two major jazz concerts each year. We have been trying to think of a way to offer smaller, more frequent concerts for a cool, laid back hang, and we recently decided on something we think just might be a hit.
Caviel’s Soundstage
Caviel’s Soundstage will be an intimate concert series designed to promote a diverse palette of West Texas musicians while showcasing the Caviel Museum and Art Gallery. Shows will be approximately one hour long (two 30-minute sets, with an intermission). We are still considering the details , but we may include poetry and announcements during intermission.
Tickets will be available soon. For just $20.00, you’ll get an exquisite performance from a local artist or group, plus two beverages, and perhaps a food truck on-site. The Roots Historical Arts Council always puts on outstanding events, and we expect this one to be no different.
Also, please note, Caviel’s Soundstage is an artist focused concert. We hope that attendees will silence and put away their devices. Not to be all bossy; it’s just that we are blessed with so many world-class musicians here in Lubbock. And any of them will tell you there’s a big difference in the experience when the the band and the audience is locked into the moment together.
So get ready to get gussied up a bit and come see Hayley Burton and her Quintet on Wednesday, October 7th 2026. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Oh, and by the way, we only have a certain amount of space, so get please your tickets when they become available!
