Sights and Sounds from the Breast Cancer Walk 2025
Gant-Mann Development and Brittany's and Devin's Angels hosted another great event that really hit home for us
Mrs. Phyllis Gant and Mrs. Tiffany Lilly-Essix today held their well-attended Breast Cancer Walk 2025. As always, it was a pleasure to attend. Mrs. Gant opened the event by reminding us that cancer is a rude, disrespectful disease. It does not respect anyone; it is an equal opportunity adversary of life, health and peace of mind.
Here at Focus LBK, we know this to be true because as we type this, our sister-in-law Crystal Jenkins is busy winning the battle against this foul intruder. Also, we are grateful our Mother-in-Law Betty Lemmon recently triumphed in her battle over cancer. So it was with special intention that the Jenkins Clan turned out for this years’ event.
Former District 2 City Councilmember Shelia Patterson Harris opened the walk with a stirring prayer. She also told us why she was walking today, which is revealed in the film down below.
After a few other opening items, Team Crystal and a couple hundred other Lubbockites took to the starting line, and without much further ado, began joyfully hoofing the three-point-something miles around Dunbar Lake. The whole time we were on-scene, we made pictures and film, which we hope you enjoy.
