Southwest Digest Podcast S1 EP5: Crazy Drivers, 70's Classic Soul, and Mr. Patterson Speaks on the Importance of Community

Rob and Kham chop it up about various of topics of interest to you and yours!

In episode five of the Southwest Digest Podcast, Rob and Kham embark on their usual discussion of What’s Going On in Lubbock, Texas. There wasn’t a lot to report, but you know this won’t stop them from finding something interesting to “chop it up” about.

For the Out and About segment, Rob was surprised by how mild Houston traffic was during a recent weekend excursion. On the other hand, some our “laid back” West Texas drivers can be crazy as a bed-bug.

Trust us, you won’t want to miss this segment because they even have video of a guy who tried run another driver off the road for being brazen enough to pass on a wide-open, high-speed-limit road. Yes, here in Lubbock!

Peep it out and let us know who you think was in the wrong.

Rob and Kham also groove to and discuss a classic 1970’s track by Marvin Gaye. They dissect the sound, and discuss how music and sound is closely connected to memory. This leads to a quick trip down memory lane as they recount their memories and music that are linked to the Fall.

Finally, Elder T.J. Patterson bring us a heartfelt reminder of the importance of family and community. You can check the full Oral History interview out at The Portal for Texas History.
