I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means “to serve”. More specifically, what does it mean to “Serve God"?
Right on cue, I found an article here on “The Stack” that really got me going down a path. Dr. Roger Mcfillin, wrote on “Radically Genuine”:
Most of us think of service as what we do. The job we perform. The help we offer. The roles we fill. Nurse. Teacher. Mother. Father. Doctor. We measure service by actions completed, hours logged, tasks accomplished.
The message says something different: your frequency is your service. Your essence is what you offer. The vibration you carry as you move through the world is the service you render to creation, regardless of your job title or to-do list.
Of course that made me think of a few Bible verses. Letting all those various sources marinate, I think I came up with a decent take on what “Serving God” means.
